Fascial Distortion Model Therapy
Fascia is a very thin, semi-mobile, membrane which covers, separates, or holds together different organs, muscles, blood vessels, and nerves, AND is present over every inch of the body.
When it is distorted, it can cause significant discomfort. These distortions do not show up in conventional imaging like Xray, CT or MRI, because they are designed to look at bones or soft tissue.
FDM is a targeted way of relieving this musculoskeletal pain, using only the thumbs! Carmen has successfully helped patients with tension headaches, sports injuries, abdominal pain, plantar fasciitis and more. She particularly enjoys this work because it relies on what her patients report they are experiencing, and encourages a stronger positive connection with their bodies.
